Breakfast for your golf

0

A quick morning coffee and a doughnut before your game sounds more than tempting. However, is it really the best thing you can do for your golf?

Pastry and cereals, including cornflakes, are foods that are very high in carbohydrates. Immediately after eating such food you might feel very energetic.   Nevertheless, this energy rush falls very quickly, which means that you might already be pretty tired by the third hole.

Your game begins long before you actually stand on the first tee. So start with breakfast, which will do your golf game good.

Breakfast should consist of a balanced meal containing proteins that help build and nourish muscles. Proteins promote fat burning, provide balanced energy without large fluctuations, reduce cravings for sweets and the temptation to eat unhealthy foods.

Experts recommend eating at least 25 grams of proteins and the same amount of carbohydrates for breakfast. This is equivalent to two eggs and a little Greek yogurt with banana, which can be replaced by a toast with cottage cheese. Do you fancy a glass of fruit juice for breakfast? Remember that such a drink contains 20 – 25 grams of carbohydrates. Drink water with lemon or tea lightly sweetened with honey instead.

My secret tip for a fantastic breakfast is – Chia Pudding. You can prepare this simple breakfast in the evening and look forward to it in the morning.

Chia pudding

Ingrediences:

¼ cup chia seeds

1 cup coconut or almond milk

1 tablespoon vegetable protein powder – hemp, rice or pea

½ tablespoon honey

1 banana

Mix banana, honey, protein and milk together. Pour this liquid into a small bowl or glass so that it reaches about 2/3 of the jar. Add the chia seeds, mix well and let it set in the refrigerator overnight. Chia seeds will absorb all the liquid until the morning. Delicious chia pudding will be waiting for you in the morning. You can top it with seeds, nuts and fruit. It just depends on your taste.
